The presence of larger eukaryotic genomes can obfuscate sequencing signals from microbial genomes. The Devin Host Depletion filter is a proprietary fractionation syringe filter that effectively removes host background signals from liquid biopsies such as whole blood, plasma, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), synovial, ophthalmic fluids, feces, and urine. The patented technology, called Zwitterionic Interface Ultra Self-assemble Coating (ZISC), depletes host nucleated cells while allowing bacterial, viral, fungi, and parasite communities to pass through unaltered.
The Devin Microbial DNA Enrichment Kit is a fast and simple genomic nucleic acid purification protocol specifically designed using mNGS-grade reagents to minimize contamination. The kit begins with the Devin filter to deplete host nucleated cells from liquid biopsies. Extractions with the kit, after host depletion, are also compatible with automated systems, facilitating high-throughput NGS assays.
The Unison Ultralow DNA NGS Library Preparation Kit optimizes the preparation of NGS libraries for low-input DNA (as little as 10 pg) extracts. The kit also accelerates DNA library preparations by utilizing a proprietary tagmentation-based method which condenses fragmentation, adapter ligation, and normalization steps into a single step. Specifically optimized for high molecular weight DNA the kit generates library fragments whose sizes are optimal for Illumina platforms at normalized concentrations.

The platform is curated with up-to-date genome information for thousands of microorganisms.
